Why take classes with Leslie?
As well as being a self-taught chef for over 30 years, Leslie is a former pre-school and elementary school teacher who knows how to make things fun keeping children engaged. Her passion for health is contagious! Her belief is all kids (the younger the better) need to be empowered to make healthy food choices and understand why this is so important. They learn how to avoid processed foods that make us sick and cause disease. FOOD IS MEDICINE.

WHAT TO EXPECT- Children will become confident experimenting hands-on with different foods to make age appropriate recipes, creating their twist on the recipe. They will talk about foods that are real foods and foods that are fake (processed) and how their choices affect the way their body feels and functions. Your chef will learn ingredient swapping. Each session explores essential cooking techniques, basic food prep skills and best practices for kitchen safety. My goal is to empower each child to "try" at least one new food . When created and prepared a different way, a food they disliked may become a food they now like! Plus, every student will go home with a new recipe to share with their family.

CANCELLATION POLICY- Deposit is non-refundable but can be used as a credit toward another date. We understand situations arise beyond our control and we honor that.

Gorilla Granola Crunch-oatmeal, raisins, cinnamon, unsweetened coconut and other goodness with homemade yogurt and nuts on top .
Meatball Madness- ground chicken, spices, homemade sauce and GF pasta, bon appetit!
Fruit Parfaits-with layers of surprises-Greek yogurt, oatmeal, assorted berries and fruit, cocao nibs, crunchies and super foods
Tacos with all the fixins- homemade seasoning, guac and salsa
Smoothies- Orange Julius, Strawberry/Banana and Chocolate Banana
Nachos Your Way-Homemade chips, guac and salsa. Add black beans and jalapenos if you would like

Orange Chicken-sweet , savory and sticky, with rice, who needs to do take out when you can make it yourself. A favorite for all!
What if my child does not like some of the ingredients in the recipes?
Children will have options to make the recipe their own but will be encouraged to "try" one new food each class.
Is everything homemade? Yes, even the dressings and dips. We like to know what ingredients are in our food.
What is the reason you use organic, grass-fed ingredients?
Healthy food choices involves avoiding processed foods loaded with preservatives, pesticides and additives that cause disease.
